The marina on our chain stopped selling 50:1 mix this year. The owner said that it was less than 20% of his sales. The old dirty 2 strokes are fast becoming a dying breed, replaced by E-Tecs and Optimas. We now have two pumps of premium marine fuel to keep the inboards and their owners happy!

My 24:1 motors are wall hangings now along with my fathers old 1957 Evinrude Fleetwin, which is a 16:1 mixture. We spent a lot of summers together with that one. You could always find your way home by following the sheen in the water. |
