Haven't been on the site that much these past few months, and for a good reason
We baught ourselves a second hand caravan that we refurbished.
And since pictures say mor than a thousand words...

How it looked when we baught it:

We repainted the walls, baught some new furniture, changed all the interior lights with LED and cleaned it thouroughly:

Then we started building a terrace:

And a fence:

Gravel, shed, coating:

The result today:

So now we finally have our own little place at the lake.
And since it's just a ten minute drive from our home, we moved there for the season...

Really cool.

Looks like a nice place to have CCF friends stop by!

Kristof, the place looks great. Had a trailer for 13 years at the lake before I finally decided to build a house. Totally enjoyed all the time we spent there and learned to appreciate the little things in life that are so important. Cheers to you and your family. Enjoy!

640 minutes...

About 9,5 hours fliying from Orlando to Brussels, then about an hour and ten minutes drive to Maaseik where the caravan and the boat are...

So, I see you tomorrow? I'll come get you at the airport;
And I'll drive you back to the airport on Sunday, back in Orlando in time for work...

Crapola, I had only 610 minutes to spare this weekend!! However, I will be working on an extended weekend, and may take you up on the offer. I will take Jbear and Backfoot along, as they will need Adult supervision. What is the current water tempature, and when is the best "season"?

July - august are the best months over here. sunniest and warmest.
Current water temperature is about 21°C (70°F) and goes up to 28°C (83°F) by mid july...

You can always ask Kapla... He stayed a few days here. I think he enjoyed it
BTW, Kapla and I are meeting in Amsterdam on july 16th! Looking forward to that

Time to revive this thread and show the progress we've made since then...

First I built a roof over the terrace, so we can enjoy the outside, even when it rains (which happens quite often in Belgium).
The whole terrace and roof still have to be cleaned and get a new coat of wood-stain.

And my lovely wife made it her project to put all the cabinets in a fresh modern coat of paint.

Also, the seats are getting reupholstered...

We're almost ready for the new season
