I finally had to replace my 39 year old 3 time rebuilt Prestolite alternator with a new one with a self enclosed regulator. My old version had the separate regulator at the top of the engine in front of the carb. Got the new one in today. One battery wire, one ground wire. Pretty simple.

Problem is in the old setup, the battery wire went up to the regulator and at least two wires went back towards the starter/solinoId/NSS area.

Does anyone know how to wire my new setup from what I used to have? I can look at it further tomorrow and update y'all. I'm working now. Can provide pictures tomorrow. Thanks

Scott

I don't have the drawing anymore, but I got one from SKIDIM about changing from an external to an internal regulator. If you can find that one, going from there to a one wire should be easy.
