I replaced the fuel pump a few years ago, and discussed it here on this forum.
Seems like someone told me the new fuel pumps have too much pressure and I need a regulator to lower the pressure....I opted not to pursue the regulator , I wanted to see what would happen. This boat seems to flood a lot lately, and I wonder if that may be part of the issue. I would like to hear opinion on this.... WHere do I get this regulator? and why cant I buy a fuel pump with the correct pressure? |

What is the pressure you are getting with the new pump? have you "T'd" in a pressure gauge? The flooding may not be related to the pump. Are you getting gas dripping down the throat of the card after you shut down the engine? Have you used the search feature to look for answers? There are plenty!
EDIT: I see in a old post you did check the pressure.
The carb will handle the 7 PSI. I suggest you look at a carb rebuild. |

7 psi is about right for the mechanical pump.
