My wife up north

My wife always goes up north for a couple months in the summer. I love it when I get a call about problems! She is "half way" technical but I always need to keep my mouth shut when she tries to explain the problem! She borrowed her mothers float boat and the captains chair came off it's pedestal. We all know how cheap the float boats are made and how all the wood used in the seating rot's pretty quick. Well in this case it seems it was the ply as well as the black oxide coated steel screws used to hold the chair to it's base. I have to "hand" it to her when "push comes to shove" she can do some thinking. She's going to re position the swivel base on a good section of the ply seat base. (next time will be a trip to the upholsterer!) I told her where a drill and bits were and explained that pilot holes were needed. I also told her where a #3 Philips screw driver was since I have a feeling the screws she got at the hardware store were at least a #12.

Great wives are sometimes hard to come by!!

Yikes! If I gave my wife such key information she would have no reason to keep feeding me.

Several of several weeks ago, the day before I was to be a part of her up northern, my spouse calling me and says there is a issue. The vessel is heating up. She closed it down when she saw the evaluate shift toward red (the 83 MC is too old to have a trouble/idiot light) and SWAM it in. Then she troubleshooted with me over the cellphone, clearing the strainer, seeing if it would complete up, verifying the fatigue manifolds for warm, verifying for a obstructed thank, etc.
