i have a 69 mustang and the rudder leaks excessively. can someone briefly detail what is required to repair. thanks.

Since it's a 69, I'd say it's due for a stuffing box repack. The procedure is the same as doing a prop shaft repack.

Not so fast, Pete... it *might* need to be repacked, or the port may need to be re-sealed. It all depends on the source of the leak.
