Kostas,
I test drove one of those 22' chieftains a few months back for a guy from Alabama who contacted me thorough classicwinnebagos.com. same layout and everything but i think it was an 86. Nice coach, and easy to drive. The guy ended up flying into akron/canton airport and driving it back to Alabama with no issues. He was a super nice guy,had a 22 cheiftain growning up and was after that paticular model... I think he ended up getting it for 3,200. his had the Chevy 454 like mine with about 48k miles. I have a feeling that diesel isn't original but would probably be really nice. I just wonder what he has for a genny since they usually share the fuel tank. Maybe he replaced it with a diesel model or propane? Now is the time of year to wheel and deal with those, go look at it and if it looks good offer him 3k. You and your wife will love it. pick it up and make a trip out here to ohio! I have a 30A hookup for you guys in the driveway! feel free to hit me up if you need some info on what to look at. |
