For those of you who have replaced your carpet on a boat with the plastic/rubber trim...
Did you reuse your old plastic trim pieces or did you buy new and start over? I saved the trim from my original boat and the donor machine, but neither of the sets are very pliable. I have cleaned up a set tonight with some scrubbing action and I'm going to see what they look like in the morning when they are dry. I'm just curious what others have done who have gone before me. I reused mine on the '85 but they were in good shape. I laid them on a board on a hot sunny day to get them flat and straight again.
