My j-tube sprung a leak and started dripping.
I pulled it of and started probing around. I thought someone had JB Welded it.
That's not the case. It has been welded and bondo'd over.

It lasted 10 years but now I've gotta do something.

Are these available anywhere? I've searched here and the web but I may be calling it the wrong thing.

Or should I just go see the welder in the morning and see if I can make it another 10?

All of this was covered with bondo; all you could see was a hairline crack.
I couldn't believe it was this bad underneath:

Someone didn't winterize properly!!

If you can't find a new J tube, yours can still be fixed. Take it to a competent welder and have it brazed.

I'm taking it to a local shop today at lunch. Hopefully his workload isn't too bad.
I'm ready to get on the water.

It must get pretty dang cold up north
It looks like its been repaired more than once.

For 30 bucks why not just get a new one that would be better than having a catastrofic failure of the old weak pieced together one
