At the beginning of summer, my engine failed to restart after running for about an hour. It cranked, caught momentarily and died. It would do this repeatedly. My mechanic replaced the high pressure fuel pump. The boat ran great for a few weeks. Now same thing is happening. When ignition is turned on, there is no sound of the pump pressuring up. Is there a fuse or anything else I can check?

There's a relay somewhere, it's more common to fail than the pump. Probably on back side of engine but I'm not too familiar with the GT40 yet (assuming that's what you have).

My mechanic stopped by. Kill switch was almost off. He said that the turning the ignition on charged the coil for the short burst only, mimicking the problem with the pump.. Reset the kill switch clip. Starts fine now.

Cool, I'll add this to the GT-40 thread.
