Finally got our "dream" trailer for the 2000 SN. Our old, original Ram-Lin had rusted out after 15 years to the point where it was starting to get structurally dangerous. I knew it was time to move on, and I knew deep down that only a Ram-Lin trailer design would cut it. The way this trailer design fits these boats is unmatched. Super low, sleek, spectacular. There really is no proper substitute. It was a long road logistically to get this trailer from Orlando to here, but good things come to those who wait.
The folks at Ram-Lin outdid themselves with this one. Prop guard rollers, retractable transom straps, retractable bow eye strap and winch, folding tongue, LED lights, disk brakes, yadda yadda yadda. They also made it custom with my requested steel wheels (I provided the beauty rings) and went out of their way for gold paint to do my pinstripe. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. We're really happy with this and are looking forward to a lot of fun times with our rig atop this trailer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Joel,
The trailer looks fantastic. I'm sure you'll get some years out of it. Have they done anything about the rust issue? Are the pictures at home or up in ER? If in ER, I've got a great concrete guy up here. ![]() |

Yeah, my slab here is really in terrible shape. Oh well. Regarding the design, it's totally different in a few key structural areas- as such what I would consider the critical long-term corrosion flaws of the previous design are not present here. I'm not even talking about the lack-of-carpeted-plywood factor, either- that's just a bonus! This one should go 25 years. |

After looking at Mars' trailer last weekend I would have to agree that is a nice trailer! Several key features I like are the big fender steps, large plastic bow stops, and that front tie down. Looks like they make a good trailer but too bad it took two times on each of you guys trailers to get them right! That's the scary part but after all is said and done, it looks like they fit the hull well and will last a long time. Nice piece!

Joel, just for the record I'm not too happy with you posting this thread. My trailer needs major rust attention, rebuild of running boards, etc. and I was never even considering a new trailer .......... until you had the bad idea of posting this.
Well now that I got that out of the way ..... Awesome looking trailer, congrats! Like Rob said, those rollers will avoid a whole lot of scraping sounds. Curious, did your original have the turnbuckle with no winch? I'm so used to the buckle that I don't feel any need for a winch, but I suppose it would stop me from powerloading at some ramps that I'm not supposed to do so at. |

I know this sounds like I'm just making excuses, but I do try to line up the trailer depth pretty carefully so I don't need much more than a few revs above idle to get it loaded. At our lake house I'm able to launch and load right off our lawn onto the beach, and obviously don't want to dig up our own beach, so learned a long time ago with the '63 to load fairly gently, not leave the trailer shallow and try to bull it on with a ton of throttle.

Very nice Joel, My dad's 98 is on a purple people eater Eagle. After seeing Mars' blue trailer last weekend he is kicking around the idea of a new black Ramlin single for his boat.
Congrats on the purchase! |

Glad they sorted everything out for you! Looks great but we really need some full boat shots!
I'm sure there are other manufacturers out there with a great product but I'm convinced Ramlin is the best choice for anything Correct Craft. I wish we would have purchased another for the wood boat and sold off the 01's old trailer. |

Great looking trailer Joel.. Question, I'm shocked you didn't tell them to mount that little side marker into the frame like the ones in back are.. Only thing that doesn't look right... Whats the reason for it hanging there like that?
Love the guard rollers and the general look. Congrats. Hope it lasts a long time for ya !! Moj' |

I almost made this mistake on our Chris Craft trailer. Noticed these on our Ramlin and figured there was a good reason. I imagine it would cause big problems! |

Yeah, but there are surface mounted markers that would work fine and look a hell of a lot better that those tabs hanging there. I see no longevity with those flappn in the breeze.. |

Perforations within reason will not compromise the structure, think aircraft or race car framing members.
Joel, looks great, integrated tie downs sure are nice. If you are OK with posting cost definitely curious. Looking back when I was ordering IIRC in 99' Kramer wanted 3.2k for a Ramlin and 2.3k for an eagle, in 05' Watercraft was 3.5k Ramlin and 2.8k Eagle - Single axle with brakes, spare tire and side steps. |

I'm not at liberty to discuss the price but let's just say they've gone up since then. Don't forget about delivery, either. In gas alone the bill I got from my Uncle delivering it was nearly 600.00, and shipping quotes were ~1700. It's a substantial investment any way you cut it. |

Substantial yes but in your case and Chris M's both of those boats deserve to be on a nice platform, they are both outstanding boats and the Ramlin was the only choice. Just for grins my Tanden Boatmate was $4200 back in 2012. |

My thinking is definitely along the same lines as Alan's. My '98 might only be worth 15-17 grand if I tried to sell it, but as we've long discussed here all our boats are worth more to us than they are in actual market value. I'd consider putting a nice new trailer under it just like I put a nice new interior in it, In fact the trailer and interior would end up costing about the same and both be well worth it.

I talked to Orlando Nautique's 2 weeks ago and they quoted me 3900.00 for a single axle. That was the base model. I think I'm just going to have mine refurbished.

Last year we looked at a 2008 211. They said it would be $4500 for a new double axle trailer. Not positive it was a Ram Lin |

It looks like painted diamond plate on the step pads. I have been trying to configure plastic boards covered with carpet. I am not finding boards wide enough (20") or long enough (108") for a reasonable price. Non-wood ideas would be appreciated.
Also, what is the material on the inside of the fenders? |
