Hello all,
Starting to think a lot about getting the boats back in the water this season and in doing so I have been ordering up a number of preventive maintenance parts for my 1994 SN. One that I am struggling to find is a "kit" with all the water fresh water cooling hoses, mine are original to the boat and at over 20 years old I don't want to do another season on them. Does anyone know of where to find a kit with all the various diameters and lengths one would need? If not I suppose I can find the various lengths needed, however, since my boat is 5 hours away from me - would anyone be kind enough to post the diameters needed? In looking at pictures of the engine I see the part number on the hoses coming off at least the thermostat housing to the exhaust manifolds is 8045004.... however google seems to know nothing about that part number. |

It's all 1" except for the 1.75" piece between the circ pump and stat housing. I believe 12' of 1" and 1' of 1.75" would do the whole engine. Get a little extra to be safe if no one else can get you a better estimate.

I just checked my last hose order from SkiDim and I order 13' for my ProBoss. I had less than 12" left over.

They are right on the money. The 1.75 inch needs to be a foot long and isn't anything special. Just woven reinforced straight hose. For some dumb reason pcm only sells it by the 4' stick. I used to order it and cut it into 1' pieces for retail.
So basically if you don't want to use pcm parts a high quality reinforced woven straight piece of radiator hose will work just fine. Always make my cooling hoses a little longer than they need to be that way down the road if they get funky on the ends you can cut it off and start fresh. |

You guys are amazingly fast!
I can order up the 1" and 1.75" hose easy enough. What about the bigger diameter hoses in and out of the circulation pump? |

Nothing comes out of the circulation pump by hose and if the intake side is not 1.75" you've already referred to then you've got something mixed up.

FWP is 1" in and out. Don't reinstall it upside down!

What HW said. Standard rotation = flathead screw towards the motor. Reverse rotation = flathead screw away from the motor.
