Would like to run a question byt you guys, to confirm something comma I don't think I've hurt my transmission butt just wanted feedback from you guys to confirm my thoughts. My situation is I replaced my lower hose from the raw water impeller housing down and back to the bottom of the transmission cooler with soft sided house recently. Only did it because I didn't have hard side hose available locally and needed to dewinterize and move my boat, and this hose was failing. At first glance, I didn't realize this hose was negative pressure, it did not appear to be collapsing as if it were under pressure. To be cautious, I only ran the boat up to about 3000 RPMs, and I watched to make sure I had circulation out the rear exhaust flap area. While running the boat, the trans cooler felt warm to the touch but not hot so I assumed I was getting reasonable to adequate circulation, I've since learned that this hose is under negative pressure, and have sourced the proper reinforced wall hose, I am replacing it today. Given the situation, and the possibility that the trans might have run a little warmer than ordinary, I was thinking of replacing my tranny fluid even though it's less than a year old, from the description I've offered, would you guys be concerned about the trans running warm? I did make one Cruise outing with about an hour and a half of use during which I cruised at up to 3000 RPMs for 20 to 30 minutes at a time twice or so. That's pretty much been the extent of use with this soft sided hose situation.
Realize that I'm probably overthinking this but I just had this transmission completely rebuilt last August. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Jeff

Jeff,
From your other post on the same question:

Jeff,
If you had water coming out with the exhaust, then you had water flowing through the trans cooler.

Warm to the touch on the trans cooler is normal.
