Took mine off last fall on my 82SN to replace the rail rope and I can't find it.
My rail took a 1/2" rope, not the 5/8" so I'm not sure if the end caps were different amongst the 2001 model years. Anyways, If anyone has one please let me know! Example Picture:

I have one that I removed from a donor boat. I will try to get a measurement of the rail rope and a picture when I get home this afternoon.
