The raw water pump in my 78 nautique has seen better days and developed considerable play in the shaft. It isn't leaking any water but definitely needs new bearings. I have discovered that it is now a discontinued pump and been replaced by another model.
In an effort to save money and keep my boat original i would like to replace the bearings and have the bearing number (6203-625) from the bearing that is in there right now. I would like to replace anything that I should when I do the bearings and I am not sure what I can replace. I haven't puled the unit apart yet as we are using the boat and I want to keep the downtime minimal. Any advise? |

If it isn't leaking, and engine temps remain normal, use it to end of season, remove, and send to me.
I'll rebuild it for you. The bearings and seals are available. |
