I have been looking for a new boat for several months, had a Prostar 205 all lined up, sold my Supra and then the 205 was taken off the market. So, the next day I looked at a Sport Nautique and bought it on the spot. This is completely contrary to everything I do...I usually overanalyze!! Paid $18500, 102hrs, looks like it is brand new.....question is, do you think I got a good deal. It was garage kept. I am very happy, which is most important, but I am having a tough time gauging market value for this boat. Thanks!

Look on Boattrader.com for comparison. It depends where you live but the price sounds very fair given the condition.

fins, have you tryed-flipsell.com .they have 65 correct craft's listed for sale.from what i see, giving the condition & low hrs of the 96 sport nautique,18500 is a great price.
i'm curious about the difference between the sport and the super sport nautique's .is one an open bow or what ? |

Super Sport is a V-drive vs. a direct drive in the Sport Nautique. Both are have an open bow.

so the v-drive with the weight of the engine in the back [more wake] the supersport would be considered a wake boat, the four-runner to the "air nautique" or am i way off track here ?

I believe you are correct KG. Ski'd for the 1st time behind this weekend...not bad. I was told the first "walk thru" version was not a good ski wake and the "playpen" version is much better(that's what mine is). It sure beats my '87 Supra Sunsport wake!! I will definitely say I have never owned a MORE DIFFICULT BOAT TO COVER though!! You need a wrap around dock to get the cover on! I bet I land in the H2O more than once this yr...anyone else have any tips for me???
