I BUILT MY PLATEFORM OUT OF IPE' WOOD. WHEN I FINISHED, IT WEIGHTED 36#. I MADE THE BRACKETS OUT OF ALUMINUM. I PUT THREE BRACKETS ACROSS THE BACK.IT HAS PLENTY OF SUPPORT. I HAVE A TOTAL OF $180.00 IN THE PLATFORM AND BRACKETS. IT LOOKS AND WORKS GREAT. I PUT THIS ON A 1976 SKI TIQUE.
