1996 Ski Nautique...I clicked on the bilge button and the indicator light comes on faintly and then clicks off. Pump not coming on. I would imagine this means switch/breaker needs replacement?? Can somebody can confirm if this is a pump issue or switch issue?

Chris,
From your description, I'd say the breaker is doing it's job. The dim indicator and then the breaker tripping suggests an overload from the pump. Disconnect the pump and see what happens. Also, check the path of the wiring making sure there are no bare spots from abration that may be touching something.

Don’t know if you have 1 or 2 pumps- I believe a DD has one a v drive has 2 but I’d bet a pump could be stuck. In my case it was the front pump that the motor shaft seal was stuck and would trip the breaker. I carefully took the pump off of its base, the plastic bases release tabs get brittle with age, and just manually turned the impeller. That original Atwood has been fine now for years. The other one in mine the base broke which required a new pump since the base is unavailable
