My current SN is a 2001 model year open-bow. My old SN was a 1994 open-bow. The 1994 had 2 bilge pumps, one near the ski pylon and one near the rudder.
The problem: The current 2001 model year boat has a bilge pump that is dying or dead. The bilge pump that I can see is very accessible near the ski pylon. No worries there. The problem is that I simply don't know if there is a second bilge pump hiding near the rudder assembly. The configuration of the rear seat and fuel tank makes it a challenge to access the rudder and any equipment near the rear. Just to see under there typically requires a flexible bore scope. I'm hoping to save myself the trouble of removing the engine cover and look for a bilge pump that may or may not be there. I looked in the Owners Manual and it shows a picture of a bilge pump mounted near the rudder assembly...but then the description says that the bilge pump is mounted near the ski pylon.
Do any of y'all know for certain if the 2001 model year SN came with a second bilge pump in the rear? Thanks, JQ |

My 2000 Sport has two as you described if that helps. I have to check if the switch runs both at the same time or not.

I do not know but my Super Sport has two pumps. It also has 2 separate discharge outlets, maybe that is the key?. Rear pump is just in front of the rudder and just forward of that is the water sensing switch. And like Paul's one switch runs both. My front pump used to stick which would then trip the breaker stopping both .

Gary / Driver: Thanks for checking. Gary's comment got me thinking...my SNOB has two (2) discharge outlets, therefore there must be an aft pump. Good call, Gary.
Update: Well it turns out there are two (2) bilge pumps on the model year 2001 Ski Nautique -- and the aft pump is a b!tch to reach. I had to pull the fuel tank to get to that bad boy. Now I love Correct Craft as much as the other zealots, but this design SUX. The rudder assembly and rear bilge pump can only be accessed with the fuel tank removed. What fun. JQ
