A starter for a RH 302 will work. I had mine fixed several years ago, new brushes and turned.

Or if you feel like something that's smaller, lighter (about half the weight), more powerful, draws less current and is easier to install you could get an ARCO 70201 PMGR starter like in the link below to Nautiqueparts like the link in Tim's post.
or you could buy it from the outfit in the link below or many other places I won't comment on the price difference for the same starter It takes a minor wiring change that you'd have no trouble accomplishing.

Thank you, so these starters will work on a 1965 Ford 260 interceptor? Bolt pattern and teeth match up?

The big one and the little one both fit the same applications, just make sure you get the part number right for the reverse rotation starter
70201 is the right number for the little one if you go that route.

Yeah, that's a big price difference I looked at ski-dim, looks like they don't have a RH

Here's a link to a SkiDim video on installing an Arco PMGR starter
link
Your relay may look different being an older Ford Interceptor, but it still has the 2 big terminals and the "s" terminal so the video gives you a good guide Or maybe your relay has been replaced with the newer style sometime over the last 58 years You also get the written Arco instructions in the box |
