I need a wheel bearing kit for my 1996 Ramlin trailer. I dont have access to it right now, and wondering if anyone knows some numbers for them? It is six lug with drum brakes, and pretty sure inner and outer are different sizes.  No big deal, I think when I get to it, I can figure it out. Just thought I would ask. Many thanks!

Some Ramlin single-axle trailers had 3,500 pound axles.  However, I believe that the 6-lug units were 5,000 pound axles.

For a 6-lug 5,000–5,200 lb single axle Ramlin boat trailer, the most common bearing combination is a 25580 inner bearing and an LM67048 outer bearing. This configuration is industry standard for #42 tapered spindles used on 5,200 lb axles.

The only way to really be sure is to pull a wheel and remove the outer bearing.  Clean off the grease and look at the numbers.

Thanks JQ. I got to it this morning and "think" I have the right right part numbers and stuff ordered from E trailers. They have a good website to compare parts. Once I confirm that they work, I will post up details in case someone else needs it.

So I bought a set from Amazon for my 99' Ramlin Trailer back in March last year. Good thing I did as they were probably the OEM's. One side the seal was gone and had been for awhile as the bearings were pitted bad.

For 32.99 Ya can't beat it.

You need a tongue jack too.

That is a good price! Hopefully the quality is ok.

My trailer typically goes about 1/2 mile to the ramp only a few times a year. I brought it home to get cleaned up and decided to grease. I noticed one wheel had some play and bearings were a bit noisy. I think only going short distances is probably harder on them. They get wet, then not run long enough to work water out. I am sure mine are original as the seal had USA on it! Not bad for 30 years. Surge brakes haven't worked for many years.

As for the tongue jack.....That was at the detailer and it was hooked to his truck and I think he had it lifted too much on the hitch. Maybe he thought the drain plug was in the rear :)

So Far so good. Drug the 99' SN to FL for the Ruckus and TN last summer so they've held up so far. It's normally parked in the yard for months on end as the boat is on the lift but it's a great trailer to haul 16' Trex decking and 16' 2x8's for the deck rebuild.

just a suggestion but check the rubber EZlube rubber button. After leaving the trailer in the water for an engine alignment, a tablespoon or so of water leaked in. Etrailer has a cap with a silicone plug.

the inner lip seal can be 2 and an eight  or 2 and a quarter. if the spindle groove won't polish out, there is a speedy sleeve with a grease port available.
