Check out the new player on the block........... I've never heard of this boat before, although I would bet that BKH has the low down on this company........
wakecraft OF course, I could never afford something like this, and if I could, it would be something with nautique written on it. |

Well, I know a little bit about the boat, but I haven't seen one in person yet. I suspect they will be at the NorCal boat show.
They are making the boats down in Atwater which is a haven for boat manufacturers. Malibu, Sanger, Centurion, MBSports, and others are built in that general area. David Telling, is the founder of the company. He founded Flightcraft which was sold to Malibu. Website is www.wakecraft.com. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the company is its sales philosophy. Telling apparently believes that word of mouth is the number one source of sales and advertising. Accordingly, he offers a $4000 commision for any Wakecraft owner who refers another buyer. Boat is not my taste, but it's definitely built to appeal to the young "bling" crowd. BKH |

I am 25 (young) and I think it looks like an ugly copy of a malibu. The tower does not flow with the boat and the built in swimstep was cool in the 90s. May fit someones taste but definetly not mine.
A new boat that I do like the looks of is the Epic. I like my boats to be pointy in the front and square in the back. |

I like the dash, exhaust ports and some other things, but they are way to overboard for me.. It's obvious they want to market themselves as a stand out... I wonder how many of these "one offs" they sell??
Man the tower is ugly... Moj' |

Yeah it is cute, and I'm sure so many Mustang, Firebird, Camaro, etc. owners have thought the same when they got torn a new one by a 4 door.

Whatever helps you sleep at night sweetheart, I'm not saying it's the fastest car. But seeing it put down cars that are less then 1/2 it's age, that are supposed "modern muscle" cars, yet came stock around the same years with basically the same HP kinda makes you think doesnt it? Nate |

Ouch. I have to agree with Nate- Ive had great luck with my Maxima. Having bought it in HS, its done its job over the last 7+ years. This may come off as defensive, but my '93 will stick with a stock 5.0- plus its good in the snow, can carry 4 comfortably, is cheap to insure, gets 30 MPG and has gone 245k. Its no Vette, but at least its not a Jetta. Ken, Ill be upgrading to a new V8 4Runner so I can tow the boat. |

Went to the Norcal boat show today. There were two of these Wakecraft boats on displays. I was with a buddy who is also a lifelong boater and a Correct Craft enthusiast. We were both suprised at how well this boat is thought out, and quality of its construction. For the wakeboard/wakesurf enthusiast, they've thought of about everything, and boat ships standard with just about all the gadgets the wakeboarders add - tower lights, tower speakers, LEDs in every comparment, multiple keypads for the stereo spread around the boat, side hull exhaust, bow lights, etc. etc. Also had the best access I've ever seen to the engine and V Drive. I still don't care for the graphics or the integrated platform. However, the owner of the company was there and said he'd make the graphics any way you want them. Will be interesting to see how this new boat company does. BKH
