A player in our Monday night hockey leauge went down last night (ma$$ive heart attack?). I think he was 65 and retiring this year. He was in front of the net and the next second he was flat on his face. Never moved again.
It can all change in the blink of an eye!
So whatever it is - Family, friends (The ones you know & the ones you don't - like on this site), Correct Crafts, ect., ect., ect. - ENJOY!

Sorry you had to see that Nauti, that happened to me at a Browns game going up the walkway, the guy dropped and his eyes rolled and they pumped on him for a half hour, I felt bad for his wife who was right next to me

Life seems to be an odd mixture of pleasure and suffering. Surely this man's family and friends are suffering, as well as being a tough thing for you Naut.
As we go through the suffering there seems to be a path that leads to hope. I like what 81 said too, giving your time to your kids, or giving time to others--like many of you on this site do for one another is a great way of keeping enjoyment in life.

Not throwing off of the subject, I thought about this all the way to work, I worked under the Valley view bridge for years and always wondered, and the bridge was known for this, Anyways again my friend and i were on the way to an indians game and were driving over the bridge and i see a car and catch this guy out of the corner of my eye just starting to climb the fence, something made me swing in as fast as i could and hopped out of the car and by this time he was just getting over the top of the fence and i was running towards him. I got with in 10 feet of this guy and he looked me in the face and let go. that bugged me for 2 months and still to this day I can see that lost look he gave me. maybe it changed me and made me realize alot of different things

Interesting thread dudes. Death has a way of making us face life a little more honestly. It has a way of stopping us and making us think about what we are giving our lives to--whether our priorities are actually being signified in how we live. A guy asked me yesterday, "When do you find time to ski?" The answer is the same for all of us: We all make time for what is most important to us. I'm thankful to be connected to some of you even if over a computer.

eric, that's two different games you were on your way to in one thread. One baseball, another football. Hmmmm...I think I like your life.

I like that Hollywood, there is no such thing as failure; you just learn to do things another way. You get out and try! (Except at my age I'm having second thoughts about stepping off the ski at 40mph.)

he jumped off the bridge and I made my buddy look because i didnt believe he did it, when i finally looked he was actually ripped out of his clothes in a pool of blood, to this day i can see his face and remember his name, Kevin, the cops found his wallet in the 1977 Cordoba he was driving.
When I worked for Great Lakes Power they had season tickets on first base and somehow i always ended up with the tickets, I always told them I was taking customers, In my dictionary customer means: drinking buddy

Everyone has a story which makes you think. Mine was a 32 year old fraternity brother who was also a co-worker. Talked with him at 5 pm about attending a fraternity reunion. 2 hours later he dropped dead in an office 2 doors down from mine. He had a 2 year old son, and, unbeknownst to him, his wife was 1 month pregnant with their second child.

I think often about trying to keep myself healthy enough to see my daughter reach adulthood. As the years go on, I probably go to the doctor more than necessary. If there's a problem, I want to know about it early so I have a fighting chance to beat it. BKH

My sister one year younger than me ,went to work a couple of years ago,and died of a ma$$ive brain aneurism. She loved to ski. Now
my boats name is Mary Ann. Even if you live to a hundred it's a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things.

On the lighter side, to perc things up here's another funny one, Im 42 and this is my mothers friend and this guy use to watch me when I was a kid, he is 53, and for the last 10 years he has had alot of heart problems, qaud by-pa$$ etc... and since Ive been in business he became a friend of mine. he smokes and drinks like a fish and if you tell him that he'll tell you that were only 2 years away from pig hearts. So he always gets rushed to the hospital and over christmas he his brother had some type of game he bought off the internet, it was a tank game and if you got hit the controller would shock your hands...... sure enough he got rushed to the hosital that night because the controllers made his heart pump over 200 beats a minute.
