Hey guys quick question,I'm installing a new Acme 540 3 blade prop on my 1978 mustang for better performance for this coming year.My question is there a specific torque I need to put on the nut before putting the cottor pin back in.For those wanting to know what I'm running in the boat, its just a stock 302.I saw the write up that Keith did when he put it on his 1979 mustang, and Delta propeller also suggests the same prop.Has anyone else used this prop also ,I would love some feedback.

Many use that prop for boats up to 88 with 302 or 351. We'll be sliding one our shaft before spring.
Search the forums and you will find tons of propeller installation tips. |

I believe he is saying the 302s need to spin higher RPMs and thus a different prop may be better.(different pitch, diameter, or both). Try calling ACME direct and see what they recommend.
Chris, can you elaboarte for the gentleman? |
