Ive been checkin around for full rebuild kits and they are hard to come by and expencive. All the gaskets should be the same as a car other than the front crank seal and the rear main seal because of the reverse rotation. The reverse rotation gaskets are also hard to find. I was just curious what everyone does for gaskets.

I sourced some of my gaskets (water pump, etc) from Summit. The rest I went with quality PCM stuff from SkiDIM. Dont skimp on gaskets- if you get automotive types, at least make sure you get Fel-Pro.
SkiDIM would also be a good source for the reverse rotation stuff. I think Alan (81Nautique) went through the process of identifying the proper front and rear crank seals very recently. |

Sweet I think im just going to order a bottom end kit for the rear and front seal and use the rest automotive because the freakin top end kid is like 120 bucks where I could get all the same gaskets that dont say "marine" for half that.

Fel-Pro for intake, heads etc. What year is your boat? If it has a two piece rear seal, the marine is the same as the auto, just a big difference in price. With the two piece deign, the crank has the wick lines. One piece, the seal has the wick lines.

There is a reverse rotation engine kit on ebay for $380. He has another kit with a reverse rotation marine cam for another $100. I think that is the kit im gonna buy when I do rebuild my 351. Also, he said you can opt for fel-pro for like $10 more. |
