I own a 1975 Ski Nautique. We use it primarily for barefooting. I've owned the boat for eighteen years and it came with a 13" X 14" RH prop. It's always served us well but when I read about the ACME #540 prop I just couldn't resist buying one. I told my girlfriend that if it did half of what it was supposed to do I'd be pleased.
Well, we ran the boat with the prop Sunday morning and again last night and are thrilled with it's performance!

Three of my buddies drove the boat and all agreed that there was less vibration, faster acceleration, and easier to hold speed.

Last night we did a double deep long-line barefoot start and I swear we were up on our feet in the same time as a single footer on the old prop. My buddy Stephan thinks the wake has even changed shape which I'm not convinced of but there does seem to be less turbulence.
Amazingly the RPMs are still at about 3,800 when were running 38mph...just like we were with the old prop. Kinda fun to breath new life into the old girl.

All that said I'm wishing I had done this a long time ago!

same thing as 540 w a lower pitch. 13x11.5 wakeboard prop. hope to try it heavily waited soon. i just went out to check out the prop today, and did some launches. my buddy met me out there w his 350hp outboard that used to blow me away now i smoke him to 45mph, then he leaves me still.
