Any college hoops fans out there?
My condolences go out to our friends from Wisconsin after their defeat at the hands of Stephen Curry and the Davidson Wildcats. Curry was incredible, and arguably the best defense in college ball could do nothing to stop him. It'll more than likely come back to bite me as a result of some bad karma, but did I mention that historic Davidson College is a small 1600 student school right down here just a few blocks off Lake Norman. The area is going nuts accordingly, gathering most of the attention normally reserved for the University of North Carolina. Davidson may hit a road block with Kansas however, but they were also huge underdogs against Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisc to make it this far. I see Kansas, Memphis, UCLA, and UNC in the final 4, with UNC taking it all, but I've still got my fingers crossed for Davidson. |

There can be no doubt that Curry is the real deal at this point, he scored more points in the second half than the whole Wisconsin team. He definitely plays like he wants it the most, and you can't beat the story.

Reid, Next to baseball I enjoy college basketball the most. I'm a big Kansas fan, even though I live in Missouri, Lawrence is about 30 miles away. Davidson is a great story this year, and they've won something like 24 or 25 in row. I think NC has the best shot at winning it all. I've got Kansas, NC, Texas and UCLA. Chuck |

North Carolinians know Del since he played for the then-Charlotte Hornets, and now lives in the area. Mom Sonya Curry runs the Christian Montessori at Lake Norman, which I guess had a bit to do with Stephen being so well-grounded.

No doubt.
Did you get to Mt Dora? Me and Patti meant to come up but I had to work to set up work camp. Is it gonna be a choice for our Southeast Reunion? Did you see the pictures Adam put on of the Butler chain (I think)...lokked like a very cool in water spot. Of course we need more than that. Motels, places to eat, a bar, and camping. john |

John, We had to bail out on Mt.Dora. I should have called to tell you. A work conflict came up for Matt and not to jack my own thread, but I've got my very first colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30, and I had forgotten all the fun stuff I was needing to do the day before. So right now I've just started drinking this nasty clear liquid which I've got to drink about a gallon of and which will supposedly very soon now prohibit me from sitting at the keyboard for any considerable length of time. Aside from messing with old boats and hanging with you guys, getting older is starting to suck.

Come on Jbear, it's Disney World!!! Hwy 192 is nothing but Hotels, Motels, Restaurants and of course places to drink...but the best part is that the Chain of Lakes is pretty quiet despite it's location to all the hustle and bustle of the attractions. Especially in the spring, you know Floridians, they only go boating in the summer, too cold for them in March. Not for this frost-bitten Canadian boy, this is my favorite time to hit the lakes!!!

I thought if it was posted in the "Off Topic" Section, the rules and regulations concerning thread jacks was null and void! |

Good one Adam, I thought exactly the same...

I thought that was only in the "No Topic" Section. But back to the original pre-jacked thread, DID YOU SEE THAT KANSAS-DAVIDSON GAME! Down to the last shot. Congrats Kansas. |

Reid, always liked Carolina Blue, I was sure surprised the Jayhawks took that one--they are dancing in the streets over in Lawrence.

I think it's probably obvious that I like Carolina Blue also Chuck.
And then after Monday night, the KU folks are experiencing euphoria(sp). To any Jayhawk fans out there, Congrats! They deserved that W in the end. |
