I'm selling an original CC trailer for a 1978 Ski Tique. Trailer is mechanically sound but cosmetically challenged (it needs a good sand blasting and repainting). Pics available. Make offer. Email hhusker@hotmail.com or call 479-263-3238. Thanks

Trailer is still for sale and still needs a good painting but is in otherwise good condition. New wiring was run for the lights, new tires were added, and the bearings were recently repacked. Paid $1000 before all that work was done but only looking to get back $500 OBO. Feel free to contact me at hhusker@hotmail.com or call my cell at 479-263-3238. Thanks

The trailer I bought to replace this one (because this one was too small for my '76 Mustang) was in Florida. I used the website, http://www.uship.com and found someone who pulled it to me for a little over $300. It might be worth a shot if someone really needs this trailer. Thanks

Just wanted to add that I often travel to Lincoln and Omaha NE and the Lake of the Ozarks MO so if you are interested in this trailer and live close to one of these locations (or along the travel directions from NW Arkansas to one of these locations), it would be pretty easy for me to deliver. Thanks again

Steve, The trailer hhusker is selling sounds like it is a #2 (for 78 Tique) because he needed the larger #3 for the 76 Mustang. You would need the larger #3 for the Classic too.

Yeah, it looks pretty small. Thanks for the pictures though.

Pete, are you 100% on the #3 for the Classic? She is only 16'6" in actual length according to original docs.

Steve, The length is close but there may be a beam problem. There is a 11" difference in the beams. I'll know more shortly (around the 4th of July) after measuring my friends Barracuda and seeing if it will fit on my #2. Next winter he is having all the pilings replaced on his boathouse which involves moving the boathouse off to the side. He normally stores the Cuda in it but can't when they are doing the work. We are concerned if it will fit between the wheel wells. It will be tight if it does but this is only for a winter of storage and not running down the road. Tongue weight may also be a problem. The bow stop may need to be removed. Now, with the Tique, it's as far forward as possible.

Come on Chuck (my friend with the Barracuda) sign on and say hello to the guys. You've been around long enough to know that the 1st post interrogation is very brief!!

I'm surprised the DNR is letting him do that much work on the much maligned boathouse.

When you can, let me know on the fit. The smaller trailer the better as I only have about 19' of length to work with in my garages. But not too small, obviously.

Come on, Chuck, jump in the water. A guy with a Barracuda will probably get a pass on the initiation rites.

Yes, under normal conditions the DNR is a real PITA!! Per the regulations, the value of repairs or maintenance must not exceed 50% of the appraised value over the LIFETIME of the boathouse. In other words, the DNR wants them to fall into the lake. Of coase then they will give you 30 days to remove it and after the 30 days fine you $1000/day!!! It's the total back to a green shoreline DNR mentality. In Chucks case it is slightly different. 2 months ago and after hiring a consultant to do all the paper work, he was lucky that his boathouse was added to the Wisconsin list of historical buildings. Now he can happily go tell the DNR to go pound sand up their a**!!

I've got a picture of the boat house on the home computer and will post a picture when I get home.

Steve, Here's the boathouse that the DNR can no longer control! Chuck can now do any repairs to it as long as it is kept in it's original form. The interesting thing about the boathouse as well as the house and garage is all 3 (built in the mid teens) were moved across the ice by teams of horses in 1948. The PO belonged to a condo type club where you own your buildings but the land is common to all members. He was being "black balled" from the club and to the surprise of the other members, bought land on the other side of the lake, said good by and hauled the buildings off of the club grounds!!

Many a interesting party was held on the second story when I spent all my summers up north. The Rhinelander brewery (17 miles SW) was still going and of coarse drinking age was still 18. Many Rhinelander's were consumed in that boathouse!

His boathouse would easily suffice for my lake home!

Those up north stories are great. Not too many rules enforced to get in the way good old fashioned male ingenuity.

Bruce, Different person with the blue Barracuda. Chucks is believed to be a 69 or 70, 318 and the autumn green. He has also been one of our "lurkers" for quite some time. I keep telling hime to register and sign on since I know he would have something to add to CCfan. One of these days he'll surprise me!!
