It seems as though the American Skiers don't demand as much money as the Mustangs. They look like the same hull (are they?) so I don't see why they would be any different. That is a great price even without the trailer. |

Could be that people see "American Skier" and think it's an American Skier (non-CC)

I dont know about that, Gary- the late 70's American Skiers seem to be a fairly rare boat. Ive never seen one in person, rarely see them for sale, and there arent many in the diaries- so its tough to gauge their value. Youre correct that theyre on the same hull as the Mustang 17- with the rear facing observer seat and flashier graphics, I believe it was intended to be the skiers version. |

There's an old guy in my neighborhood with an American Skier with 210 original hours in his garage. It has not had the cover off of it, other than him giving me a look, in 7 years. I keep offering to buy it from him, but he will not sell it. He claims that one day he'll have her back on the water. It seems to be about the size of a Ski Tique and has the rear facing seat.
He also has an old Nissan factory "Desert Runner" truck that just sits in there. |

Adam...I dont know this boat, but it looks like one I almost bought about 7-years ago, Woody and I were talking about this boat, and he says any mid 70s cc in good shape is worth around 5-grand! the catch could be that the stringers are bad, I would like to go look at it, does anyone want to go halfs with me on it? |
