FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE
1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject. 2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone. 3. Colt: The original point and click interface. 4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control. 5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords? 6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words. 7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms. 8. If you don't know your rights, you don't have any. 9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither. 10.. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved. 11.. What part of 'shall not be infringed' do you not understand? 12.. The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others. 13.. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday. 14.. Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians. 15.. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety. 16.. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive. 17.. 911: Government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer. 18.. Assault is a behavior, not a device. 19.. Criminals love gun control; it makes their jobs safer. 20.. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson. 21.. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them. 22.. You have only the rights you are willing to fight for. 23.. Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don't make more. 24.. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves. 25.. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control. IF YOU AGREE, PASS THIS 'REFRESHER' ON TO TEN FREE CITIZENS. Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist' |

im 100% for gun control, but over last weekend our hometown officer took 4 to the head from "the suspect" which is African American which had his license but was revoked last year for carrying in a bar. It was a routine traffic stop and the officer managed to get 1 cuff on him.
I wouldnt of brought this up but it was very somber and dis-heartening driving past the sight this morning, I knew of him and passed him many times with a sixer in the system. he left behind an infant and wife for something senseless, give him 1 minute of silence today because he is being burried today....these are the guy's that cover our back and our families backs at night when we are sleeping and keep everyday people safe, so my hats off to the men in blue |

I pay special attention to this phrase:

- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle... |

I love firearms, but I'm a real maniac when it comes to safety. Guys in my unit know that by now, cause I'm always bustin' their balls on the shooting range...
And, as I mentionned in another thread, I'll consider myself a lucky (and succesfull) soldier if the shooting range remains the only place I'll use my weapon(s)... To perfection my aim and gather more points! |

If your Born in East Texas a male they give you a gun after they cut the cord, I keep a 38 in my truck when at all times. I travel alot long distance at night and end up in some interesting places

Eric be careful about the gun in bed with you , there is a story of a man who was sleeping with his pistol under his pillow , it discharged accidently killing him... it was ruled an accident until someone remembered that the wifes first husband died the same way...hhhmmmm

hmm that sound really fishy.. during my 5 years shooting i shot with most caliber and allot of difrent gun from air pistol to high power rifle i really can't see how a the trigger can be pulled while between the matres. I curently shoot with a 38 super sti competition gun with a -1.7 lbs of trigger pull and hmm it never "acidantly" discharged not eeven when someone accidanlty drops them while moving on the range |

I've shot some kinda goes in spurts. One time a long time ago we were at the range.I had a 30-06 & my freind brought a 300 win mag anyway he asked if I wanted to try his win mag I sat sat down at the shooting bench and he put a single round in the chamber. He reached across to set the safety and hit the trigger -SOB- Man did that thing jump out of the vise!

Unfortunately we had an incident here in the PNW last week where A child (14 I think) was out bear hunting. He accidentally shot and killed a hiker. I feel for all involved.
The debate is roaring hard in the media about the rights and responsibilities of youth hunters and the responsibilities of their parents. |

that is too bad you can not start early enough with teaching hunting values and gun safety when a non gun person reads those stories they assume right away that he was a killer just being in the woods with a gun as a gun person and hunter all I see is a child who should have been taught better . there are those 10 commandments of gun safety . but I have taught my children from the start that only two rules matter .
1 treat every gun as if it is a loaded gun 2. never point a gun at anything you don't want to kill |

I agree that Gun control is using both hands. I am a card carrying NRA member. If we outlaw guns, only those who would do us harm will have guns. My father is the victim of a gun crime. In early 1993 he was delivering pizzas, and was robbed by a whack job with a sawed off shotgun that he has obtained illegally, the perpetrator was never caught for robbing my father, later the man went on a shooting rampage on easter sunday in toledo, killing and wounding several, including shooting up the ambulance that was sent to rescue his first victim, he was finally gunned down by police 2 hours later.
I believe the only way to stop things like this from happening is for the average law abiding citizen to be armed and to practice reguarly obeying all safety rules. I am happy that i live in state where castle doctrine is law, where i am justified in defendin myself, my family and property, I wish all states would adopt reforms such as these. Will |
