Hey Joe,

Where did you guys stay? Up in Bolton or something? Did anyone go in the water? I bet it was cold. I went out on Lake Zoar with my brother father and brought my 3 yr old nephew out with us. Did about 5 barefoot runs and 2 ski runs and it was cold water. We are officially done for the season.

What would everyone in the northeast that would like to get together this winter at my house in VT date wise? I have January 17th weekend off from work and planning to go snowmobiling depending on conditions. But if anyone wants info to go any other days to rent our house at discount rate let me know. I can send photos of what our place looks like.

We stayed up on Turtle Island and took off out of the Bayview in Bolton Landing. I swam but never skied, should have done that first thing Saturday morning when the waters were calm but once things start rolling one direction.... Water temps were 60-61, air temps were awesome whatever they were. Reid and Roger came in like a hurricane and were gone 24 hours later. Flyn' Brian Swinney hooked us up at the marina, with camping, and let me hang around with his Jersey Crew all weekend. There were a few poker run boats in town for an event that never quite happened, I think the rest decided to stay on the trailer after hearing Reidp fire up the mustang. One guy had the sack to line up with us, fortunately for him we came upon a midlake pack of kayaks just when we were really going to start walking away from him and had to turn out...

Phil, we made it out on Zoar, got there at 3:30. Did lots of skiing and tons of footing (my feet are killing me ;)). Worked on my posture on the boom and even did some one foots. I'll post vid in the barefoot thread tomorrow. Met a guy on the sandbar that foots with a regular group of guys. He told me that they have had Ron Scarpa and Lane Bowers on Zoar to give them lessons. I got his number and we're going to met up next season.

The water was cold but 3 years ago I bought a Camero 3/4 full suit. It was advertised as semi-dry. Yesterday was the first time I used it and it really worked well. My board shorts stayed dry. I only got a couple of trickles of water from the top of the zipper.

I snow ski tons and would love to rent out your place when avail. My daughter is starting the jr racing program this season and would love to ski VT.

Oh sorry to go off topic. ;) Back to the LG Columbus talk.

From the pics and being there it looks like it is hard to find good water on LG. I've heard that Lake Schroon right near George has nice water for skiing/footing. Might be a good place to bring the boats while staying on George next year for the reunion. Especially for those planning to stretch the 2-day reunion into a 4-day one.
