When is the last time anyone has seen water skiing on tv? I miss seeing 3 event skiing and barefooting on tv. I liked watching it in the winter time when I couldn't ski. It helped keep me from over eating!

If there is anything on tv, please let us all know!

Never saw anything about waterskiing on TV here in Europe...
- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...

The only thing I've seen lately is Cory Pickos' family waterskiing on the Disney Channel for a commercial.

I think that she is promoting something like or is Claritin for allergies! Nice to see some watersports being used. I am curiuos if she was the rider or only on the dock as an actress. I really do not follow Wakeboarding enough to know!

I want to see the Masters on TV. The Pro Tours would be nice too along with the Barefoot Nationals. It doesn't seem like you even see wakeboarding on TV.

Nautiquejeff over on planetnautique does a webcast live from the masters. You can see the hole deal on the webcast. Much more coverage than you'd ever see on the tube.

Not the whole deal Brian. Sometimes less coverage in the crowd is better than more coverage of the events!
It is a great event & hopefully I'm under my normal shade tree watching!

It is hard to believe there can be an all fishing, a all golf channel several lame azz reality shows and never any waterskiing. Between 3 event, barefooting, wakeboarding and ski shows they could come up with some footage I think.

About a year ago or so, there was a Water Channel. I caught about 15 minutes of some barefooting and Mike Seipel was in it too. Then while I was taping, the show just got cut off and this "lame azz" knife show comes on. I thought there was some kind of mistake but the Water Channel was gone! You talk about disappointment, come on here!

I do remember watching Hot Summer Nights. I might even have some still on video. They might be on the old Betamax! It seemed like you could always find several programs throughout the summer to watch and record. I do enjoy watching the 1979 Masters once and a while With Liz Allen as the host.

Does anyone remember seeing Mike Seipel do a barefoot bridge flyer on "That's Incredible"? I'm guessing I saw it in the mid '70's.

I didn't recall it was Seipel, but I do recall seeing it.

I remember watching Wayne Grimditch jump on Wide World of Sports.

Wasn't there a gum commercial or a Mountain Dew commercial with a little kid barefooting within the last couple years?   And I don't remember if it was the same commercial or not, but some people skiing and footing behind one of those little remote control two pods or whatever they were.

I finally got some response for watching waterskiing on TV. Of course it's not on tv but there are two cool websites that you can watch videos. I signed up for Facebook.com and now have Nautique Boats as a friend. They told me about www.waterskiworlds.com and www.masterswaterski.com. Both very neat sites to check out!

I also remember the summer nights show. Barefooting was on the xgames several years ago, but no longer, then wakeboarding, but I dont think that is on any more either.

Several years ago, many women in the sport started the WOW (women of watersports) tour to promote, well, women in watersports. All the big names participated (overton, leachman, jacquess, the larsson twins....,three event and wakeboarding) They were on about 3 or four different teams (overton, CC, MC...)I went to one of the tour stops one summer when it was at my inlaws hometown, which also happens to be jennifer leachman's hometown. There was a number to call for information, which I called and it ended up being her parents and she was home, answered the phone and answered my questions. For a water skier that was kind of like calling the NFL for some information and having Tom Brady answer the phone. Anyway the tour stop was fun and they were televised. I taped the one I was at and still have it.

I have a clip from the day in my   kids skiing video where Kristi Overton is autographing my daughters shirt.

I remember this Juicy Fruit commercial. I think it was later than 81 though, or I wouldn't remember it. Looks like a Nautique at the end.

That kinda looks like a young Ron Scarpa, I know he did do a few commercials when he was younger and skied over off of Crystal Beach Rd. in Winter Haven.

If you go check out the new ZombieLand movie there's an 89 SN sitting ontop of a few cars about 10-15 min into the movie. I wonder what they did with it when the shoot was over?!
