Does anyone have the measurements or pictures of a 85 ski natique 2001 correctly placed on a boat lift next to a dock. The lift is 10 ft long, the dock 24 ft. I want to make sure I get the balancing point correct and the correct distance from front to rear in the lift. Looking at the trailer the wheels are centered 7 ft from the back of the boat. Also any ideas on setting up the bunks (width). I hate to play trial and error in 42 degree water.

I don;t have a 2001, but I copied my trailer bunk dimensions and welded them to W6 by 15# Wide Flange beams.

Look at the trailer bunk mounting distances on either side of the engine to get a feel for the proper spacing. I made mine a little farther apart since you want to be able to stand on the bow or stern without any tipping!

I ran my bunks flat just like on the trailer. Standing the 2" by 6" on edge is risky and more force on the hull. On edge, the bunk won't flex as much and conform to the boats hull.

It is a Craftlander. It is made by Nucraft and they called their lifts Nucraft until 2000.
I want to make sure I get enough height between the front and rear beams, the prop and the fins. Water is only about 3 foot deep at the front of the boat, about 4-5' in the back.
I can dig the sand deeper now if I have to. Have teenagers and the "Boss" driving the boat so I want it to be fool proof. It should be much more relaxing not to have to pull the boat out after a day of fun. Roads get pretty wild leaving the Lake, even not pulling a boat.
