   Could someone please clarify on how to correctly shift an inboard boat.

before someone drives my boat i always preach that when shifting from forward to reverse ( or vice versa ) that you should let the boat sit in nuetral for a few seconds before shifting into reverse. that way it's not so hard on the tranny and the prop has time to stop spinning or at least slow down. now, in an emergency do what you have to do cause we all know safety comes first.

what do you think?

	The damper plate will not last long with quick shifting.
