i think this has came up in the past but i couldn't find it using the search function..
i'm curious how to correctly check my engine oil. the thing that throws me off is that the engine does not sit level, and when your on plane it's at even more of an angle. so should you check your the oil while the boat is sitting level or with the tongue raised a bit? |

Oil level to be checked with boat in the water. This will also allow you to look over all systems prior to firing off the motor.
Things to look for during the pre check should be ; #1 oil level #2 oil leaks #3 water leaks #4 fuel leaks #5 tranny fluid level #6 tranny oil leaks All these checks will help to insure that you have a "SAFE BOATING DAY" |
