As you know, Chantal and I had to change our plan in coming to Green Lake this year, due to a business opportunity. It was a though decision, because we were both looking forward to our USA trip and meeting some of the great friends we made through this wonderful site.
So we changed our plans to GL 2010, and needed to be a little more patient. Faith decided otherwise... 
As of today, I got the official news from my superiors that I'm on the roll for a tour in Afghanistan from march till mid july 2010 (I got the unofficial news last thursday). I'll be stationned at Kabul airport, toghether with the US forces there. This means that I will be unable to attend GL 2010  . And NO... Chantal will not come alone...  .
But, we will come to the US no matter what! As soon as I return from my tour of duty, we'll take the plane and fly to Florida... So John, if we're still welcome somewhere at the end of july or in august... BoatDr, I hope duck hunting season isn't over yet by that time... I'm open to suggestions for another reunion next year, because we really want to meet some of you guys and gals. We can make arrangements while I'm in Afghanistan as we will have a decent internet connection there. |

Sorry to hear this news concerning your schedule, but glad you will still get a chance to come to the US, don't know how flexible your travel plans will be while here, but hopefully you can make it to the midwest as well. you'd be more than welcome. Chuck |

Well, if your not leaving until March, come on down to FL for the River Run. It was in Feb. this year. In 2010 I think it is going to be a official reunion and even if it is not, we had plenty of people this year and next year will only get bigger. Hate to see you miss out on GL as I know you have been looking forward to it for two years already.

Hollywood, that was my idea as well... But as JBear was the first to kindly invite us at his home, the first stop will be in Lake Wales. And the first arrangements will be with him. Don't know if he's able to have us in that period. If he does, we'll sure put the NE reunion in our agenda! John, I'll give you a call today. Maybe make a road trip from FL to the NE reunion and meet some of you along the way (I sure would like to make a stop at Reid's and take a look at his collection for example) I'm open to suggestions. |

I'll immediatly open a "GL"-account at the bank and deposit a part of the mission revenues on it. So I can come to GL 2011... And you're right about the Chantal part, IMHO she's way too smokin' hot to let her go to GL next year by herself...

going to that issue..when is preferrable for you that i do the detour? during week or better a weekend? it has to be between 7-23 and 8-3...

We are at our river house till 7-25. So It would be ideal if you could come then. No hotel needed then, you could stay with us! Could there be a small possibility for you to come on the 22nd in the evening?? On the 25th, we're leaving the river house and will have to get all our things back home.

what train gets me there from paris? I will talk to the wife what she thiks as were are arriving to paris 7-21, and we would stay one night and go to meet you.. I worried on the kids not taking the trip very comfortable...
