Here are some pics of a work in progress, I carpeted the boat last weekend, did the stereo this weekend, should have ulphostery done in a week or so, tower is being made as we speak (flight control tower knockoff), and I am going to strip the paint this week and hopefully get it painted in next couple weeks.

Tell me what you think, this forum has been extremely helpful. The bracket going down the middle keeps the cover up from rain.

The engine is a Chevrolet 350. The front seat is a custom one I bought with a flip up bolster, and the speaker boxes I made this last weekend. The back seat also opens in the middle to store stuff and the stuff in the corner is leaves the blew in and I havent vacummed it up yet. thanks

I am only going to paint the stripe. So from the looks of it, I just need to remove the swim deck and mask everything else off.

After putting in the marine grade plywood floor that was expoxied, multiple times. I laid the fiberglass and put a slight tilt from the outside in, so water would drain toward bilge. I sanded everything down as best I could. It does look like there is a slight bump, but I think that is the carpet. Laying the carpet was a lot tougher than I thought, because I tried to lay it in one big piece on each side and it was binding.

The seat, I actually bought from the factory of a runabout boat maker. I cant remember the name, because it was a larger group.

I really wanted the flip-up, because I like to situp when I pull people so I can get a good view of where I am going and there is sometimes a lot of debris in the water.

How did you mount the seat to the floor?

Havent mounted it yet, but used the base and rails from the original seat and modified it to work.

I am waiting to get the combing pads and morse control installed before I screw it to the floor. I guess just use some stainless steel screws.

Thanks. I am in process of installing seats in my '68 and I am looking for ideas. I like the pop-up seat because I find myself setting on the seat back to see, but it may too wide for the narrow beam of the old Mustangs. Thanks for posting your pics.

Looks like you've been working hard.

When are you going to bust out the oven cleaner?

One question...is that some kind of boom attatched to the pylon?

That holds up the cover so the rain does not pool on the cover. Runs through the middle of the boat and reduces the stress on the cover.

did you get the backseat from the same place? we have an '83 that has no back seat and not so great front seats. i have been searching for stock seats and didn't even think of getting oem's!
there are tons of people who would love the name of your "source" if you could find it!
thanks!

http://stores.ebay.com/TRACKER-MARINE-GROUP

I made the backseat, but I bought the front seat from this guy for around $100.00

I dont think has any more with flip up style, it have been 3 months or so. I actually went and picked it up in oklahoma and dug through his warehouse for more parts that I ended up buying.

Also, it says tracker marine, but he actually sells new parts from a few different boat companies.

Is that an aluminum support along the beams and under the engine? Looks stout.

Man I like the way that carpet looks. How did you trim the carpet around the battery access plate? It looks very nice. Did you carpet under the motor mount? I would also like to place a seperate piece of carpet on my back floor but I don't know how to trim the carpet so both pieces look good laying next to each other. Exactly what carpet and color did you use?

thanks again for the ebay shop!

Is that the radio control head mounted in the flow, under the dash, in front of the drivers feet? What a great idea! I've been trying to come up with a place to mount my control head.
