Eric, I talked to him on Sat about the upcoming weekend and he said all was good but the lake was up a couple of feet. Watched the local news last night and they said Lanier came up 2 feet yesterday but it is still down 5 feet from being full pool. I'm sure he has had to make a trip or two down to the dock and crank it in a few feet. I know we've had him A&E along with Amy as there place is Ground zero this weekend.

**EDIT** It's only 3.5 feet shy as of this morning.

What a difference a year makes! I heard Atlanta got 20 inches of rain - is that right?

Ok Eric who said this?

Hopefully Greg's neighbor across the street is not in a lakefront home today!

Hey,

I am in Atlanta and there is no need for a fake-a-lake. I have the boat tied to the gutter of the second floor and added a spring line for the crest.

I missed this thread. Yes, some areas got 20"+. We got 10-11" here. Water Buffalo...

I have been down to the dock; every day for 4 days running! Yall will see some docks that haven't been taken care of!

Tied to the 2nd floor gutter?!!? Man, we feel for you Clew.

Every creek in ATL set a new high water mark over the weekend. The news is comparing this to a hurricane without the wind. I saw some areas that really got hammered, and the sad thing is that most don't have flood insurance around here. Before last weekend most would have said something like "and I suppose you want me to get blizzard ins. too?". This kind of thing hasn't happened here before.

We're lucky to have a top notch drainage pool here. ATL has had a problem getting alotted funds past back pockets and to the actual infrastructure. Now they'll have to fix it. That and ATL is mostly paved so there's no place for the water to go.

Clew or anyone else...if we can help in any way?

Global warming or just normal weather cycles. Who knows but here in Australia today after a couple weeks of 80-90F days in early spring we had a dust storm that closed Sydney Airport and it was almost impossible to see the Harbour bridge from the shore.

I was a cynic initially but starting to sway.

Hope everything is OK Clew. Greg and the rest of CCfan's are here if needed.

If you're going through hell, keep going

Hey BuffaloBFN and all,

Thanks for the offer and we are in good shape. Just a little water seeping in the basement and it is almost dry. Like wise if anyone needs help let me know and we will put a rescue boat together.

The problem is going to be for all the fans downstream. There were millions of gallons of Atlanta raw sewage flushed/flooded down the creek. I have no idea what that will do in the near future. I hope the amount of water will dilute it and naturally take care of the problems.

On the other hand, for the wakeboarders, there may be millions of floating kickers (or maybe sliders) for them to enjoy.
