The whole idea of running a screw through the fiberglass into wood to hold down flooring or seats bothers me. Isn't there some kind of anchor that can be imbedded in the fiberglass so threaded machine screws can be used to hold down flooring?

You could glass in aluminum plates on the underside of the floor and tap threads into it. My other boat uses that to anchor the bolster seats to the floor. As for securing the floor, I think you'd want to go thru the floor into the stringers. Unless you attached aluminum angle to the side of the stringers and tapped into those to attach the floor?

Can't you just pre-drill the hole first then install the screw "wet" with sealer?
