I have a '03 216 and need to connect a new HeaterCraft heater. Where do the hoses need to connect into the engine - PCM 330 Excalibur? A picture would be great. Thanks,

Mark,
Shower was factory installed on my 05' 206, red line is the HW supply from the block, blue is the CW supply. Pump is mounted as shown on port side, Valve box and spray nozzle are in the trunk. Good luck with the install.

Appearantly I fell for his bait and switch! This is the only shot of the heater connections, the second line is below the one on the manifold, to the water pump maybe?

HeaterCraft's installation instructions say to tap the intake manifold for hot and return back into the circulation pump. M3Fan says his returns into an engine drain plug and works just fine.

Our 289 is supplied at the intake and returns to the circ pump.
On the 502, I am thinking it may be supplied off the drain plug and returned to the pump. I don't think it would flow very well without being attached to a pump on the return side. I could be wrong. |

Thanks. Sorry for the bait and switch. I've been working long hours on the night shift and now am trying to transition back to the land of the living.
I connected one hose at the temperature sensor and the other at the side of the water pump. It works pretty well. The hoses get really hot so I think I will add pipe insulation tubing around them where they come together with the other cables, etc. as they transition up through the floor behind the kick plate. Any other recommendations? |

You have it hooked up right. Not sure I would bother with the insulation.
