So, where's the most convenient route to run a speedometer line in an old CC?

jim they ran the line thru the wireing chase along with steering cable up to the helm.
where are you going to mount the pickup/pitot?the mustang has the tube type mounted on the transom kinda hidden by the swim platform. the barracuda has the little brass fin pitot mounted on the keel under the engine.i dont know why, both are 68's and use airguides. |

Thanks Kenny, I am deciding on where would be the best place to run the hose. Thru the wiring chase sounds easiest. My '66 has a thru-hull pickup but I am going to mount this pickup on the transom somewhere. I haven't nailed that down yet. I have to put the boat in the water and mark the water line - the instructions say to mount the bottom of the equalizer at the water line. But, my water line changes when I am running and is close to the bottom of the boat when running fast and it also changes when I set 3 bodies in the back seat - so, I dunno.
