We did an attempt to break the record some nine or ten years ago at the Genk waterskiclub here in Belgium.
All the belgian skiclubs came togehter to try to break the record.
We where all just on our feet and out of the water (all screaming out of joy cause we were up!) when one of the master lines (stainless steel cable) broke!! No spare!!
So we failed
But, we all had a great time and it was great to have all the clubs together (plus barbecue and beer ).

So good luck to you guys and have lots of fun!!

It deed indeed Sebastian. It hit the hull of the boat and made a very loud snapping sound... Luckily, it was a steel hull, so not too much damage...
And far more important, no one got hurt!!

Is that a BI boom on the Cat?

Finding 120+ competent skiers is certainly a challenge but rigging the tow ropes to tow them is beyond an engineering feat! Good Luck, Wishing the Aussie team a successful run!
