My '69 Barracuda interior was re-lined at some point, I think. The floors and walls are covered in a blue/black astroturf. It looks very '70's.

Am I wrong in thinking it's not original? What would the original covering have been? And what should I use if I re-do the interior?

I've gotten several lookers, but no answers. Is this question so basic nobody's interested in answering?

What I really want to know is what to use to re-cover the floors and walls and where to look for it.

Dropped by my local Lowe's today and was surprised by what I saw in the carpet section: indoor/outdoor/marine carpet. (Never looked at this kind of stuff before.)

Various shades of astroturf, along with other outdoor carpets that looked much better than my current covering. The current covering might be original. It's a blue/black astroturf. I think it looks cheesy compared to the outdoor carpet, but was probably avante garde in 1969. Lowe's had several samples that looked virtually identical. Who'da thunk it?

I actually used a blueish black colored outdoor carpet from lowes on the floor and the blue/black astroturff on the sides and covered the side pads with foam backed vynil. If I was doing it over I would not use any of the astrotruf stuff. You can see mine in the diaries.
