Does anyone know of a hardware supply site or a place where i can find 3/8 16 x 1.5 studs and small headed nuts . the type that the edelbrock manifolds require? they are a 3/8 16 nut but have flats on them that would be equal to 5/16 nuts a half in wrench is used if you use a standard 3/8 16   9/16 wrench size nut they hit the manifolds when turning

I got mine at a local Ace hardware store, they had a small selection to detrmine what I needed and then they ordered them for me. You can also find them at Summit racing but they are ARP and very expensive.

the nuts are common and refered to as pannel nuts or jam nuts, you should be able to get the studs from any quality auto parts store.

do you think something like the arp style 12 points should not impinge on the manifolds? the stud part is easy

I used jam nuts and flat washers but had to put a flat on one side of the washer to get it to sit flush on the flange. You could try those 12 points but the washer part of the nut might still hit. Let me know if they work because I may change mine out.
