What size hose do I need to get for the shaft log-packing gland
What size hose for the raw water inlet to tranny cooler?
And what size is the packing (prop shaft).

I want to go get this stuff at lunchtime and didn't get a chance to measure it myself last night like I planned. Thanks!

I just repacked my 86 2001. The prop shaft packing is 3/16.

PCM 351W 240 hp - Cooling system hoses are 1" from the hull to the thermostat housing. In and out of the RWP is wire reinforced.

Do you play with Caprice cop cars?

I'm impressed! Yes, I have a '95 that I've lowered 2", installed 4.10s, intake, 2-1/2" exhaust and performance program. Ex Maine State police, light adriatic blue. I have fun with it except for the paying for speeding tickets part... We also have a '96 L99 we bought new and a '96 RMW with the tow package which is the SNs tow vehicle. Doesn't even know it's towing anything. Love the b-bodies. :)

Three B bodies, nice!

I took the day off yesterday to play with my 96 FWB. It was supposed to get 236# springs and Monroe SS shocks in the back, after I got it up in the air and the old shocks loose, opened the box there was only 1 shock... Back down she came. Instead I broke the antennae trying to replace the mast, and swapped out some dented lower door trim. I literally just ordered a class III hitch 5 minutes ago. I have these sweet looking solid polished aluminum drawbars already, will match the chrome bumper nicely. I am doing this to tow my 88 Ski Nautique. It is a Brougham so it has 2.93 gear, trans cooler, and oil cooler. I hope the transmission holds up...

carefull some are 1.25 from the pick-up to the inlet of the RWP

Momentary threadjack. Speaking of subtle messages buried in screen names, I ran across this yesterday. Folks that have been around here for a while know of Bill Burgess and his somewhat well known nitrous enhanced nautique....his screen name is SS-201. I never gave much thought to what the significance of that was, but then I ran across this picture yesterday of Bill in his SS-201.

Toby, NICE Fleetwood!! That's the same rear end ratio my Roadmaster has. Keep it in 3rd and it will tow like nobody's business. I used to to my SN with mine across western MA on the MA pike at least once a year. There's a part of the 'pike that has a 7% grade for a few miles, and I used to love going 70-75 with the SN behind me all the way up that sucker passing trucks pulling little fishing boats like they were standing still. One of my other favorite b-body-with-SN moment was a "drag race" I had leaving the toll booth one day- me towing my SN with the 9C1 and a ricer and his buddys that thought they were going to get in front of me. They were wrong. :)

If my wife didn't think we had too many cars already, and I had the $$$ for another one, a Fleetwood would be my next addition. '94-96, of course. ;)

I said to myself- "self, you know Eric's right". So I did measure myself last night and if anyone's interested, it's 1" from the hull to the tranny cooler and 1-1/2" for the packing gland-shaft log hose on an '86 SN

At first I thought you meant one of each size B-body! :)

I got your email a while ago but I guess my reply never went through. Also, I was never able to open your PM. I have since put 2 sets of springs in the back, the first put the bumper a laughable height into the sky. I have the Moog wagon variable rate springs in there now, she sits perfect! The Alumistinger ball mounts are sitting in the garage because the hitch is tucked too far inside the bumper, the shank is not long enough.

This was my good friend Bill "Pimp Daddy" Crovo's and I wanted to kick his ass for selling it. I also would have killed to have had the $$ to buy it. He let me drive it once and man was that fun bangin through the gears! Yes, that is a T-56 six speed in a '96 Cadillac.
