Anyone ever use the lucas oil product to prevent and stop trans slippage?

Last summer when I upgraded to an HEI distributor and would hammer down on the throttle it felt like either my prop was slipping or my trans was slipping.

I also would think that the lucas oil stop slip would be a good addition for our transmissions because they work so hard.

Anyone see an issue with using this stuff? If so how much should I use. Our transmissions dont hold a ton of fluid and I want to make sure I use the correct amount.

I don't think Lucas will help...

I'm new here and may be off base ~ I am not a boat trans guy...

Most often I see threads stating boat trans slip is caused by warped clutch plates / poor friction surface. Lucas is not going to make warped clutch plates go away.

Eric,
You put that stuff in your trans and I guarantee you'll be sending out the trans to the other Eric in no time!! A marine trans isn't even close in design to the automotive automatic. The marine is simply a hydraulic pump that applies pressure to ether the forward or reverse wet clutch pack. As mentioned, you plates are warped.

BTW, Maybe you should put some in. At least a pint will do. Eric is slow and needs the work!!
