Any of you Wisconsin guys going to be on Okauchee Lake (west of Milwaukee) over the 4th holiday? I will have my boat up there for a few days. If you are, let me know and we'll take a spin (or ski or ride or tube ) around the lake.

Dave,
I hope you had fun tubing!!

The lake can get quite busy. How was it? Any woodies out? I've got several friends out of the Glacier Lkes chapter with homes (and wood boats!!!) on the lake.

Pete.....I WILL be having fun tubing this coming weekend. Hope to take the boat up on Wednesday and drop it in before the craziness begins on the weekend.

My brother-in-law lives on Ice House Bay on Okauchee. A great skiing, riding......and tubing bay.

I will keep my eyes peeled for the old woodies and get some pics if I can. We have been going to Okauchee since the mid 80's. I have seen a lot of the them up there over the years. My brother-in-law just sold a mid-late 60's Evinrude Sportsman a year ago. I know thats not your type of antique boat, but, an interesting old boat just from the stand point of the fact it was an Evinrude boat, with a Buick V6, and looked very odd. I remember about 12 years ago, I met a guy up there that was an Evinrude family member. He wanted to come over and see the boat.

PS: Pete...if you don't go up north this weekend, come on up and I will tow you around the lake on the tube. I think if you just gave it a chance you may like it

Hmm, yeah, Never been on okauchee myself, as it gets very busy, but if you are dropping yours in before the craziness, I might be able to join you.

We were going to go up north, but our plans may have changed.
