Looking for a fuel pump for a 350, year model of the block 78-82. Went to the auto store and my fuel pump didnt match to any of theirs?? Its got three ports, one for the buldge pump to prime it, one from the pump to the carb, and one from the carb to the top of the pump for vacume??? confused and I some what know my engines??? just because its a Pleasure craft 350 marine enigne and the firing order is diff from a regular chevy 350 their would be a diff fuel pump? Or now and days they make the fuel pumps look a little diff but still serve the same purpose??? thanks

Brian,
What's up with the pump? Have you checked it's output pressure to tha carb or are you just throwing parts at the engine because of a problem? What is the problem? I don't feel your description of the pump ports is that accurate and may be confusing to some. You should have the suction port from the fuel tank, the pressure port to the carb and then a overflow to the flame arrestor in case of a diaphragm rupture. What auto supply are you going to? Don't go in someplace like Autozone!!! Do NOT put a automotive pump on your engine. |
