Well yesterday actually. Sold my cabin , had to to make ends meet. This was my dream 14 years ago, gutted it in the middle of my divorce and turned it into a home for my son and I. I attached a garage , new walls and ceilings of tongue and groove pine, american cherry floors, maple cabinets. New windows, doors , siding , roof, all the work done by myself with some occasional help from a few good friends. I was so proud of what I made. Nice sloping lot with a sandy beach and sunset views over the lake each night, and a great friend two cabins down. I was up with the buyer Saturday, losing this place breaks my heart. It is a bad economy to be in construction. Yesterday morning my son called. He rearend a ford while trying to wave at the dad of a friend of his. All-in-all I would rather have been boating.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

I am sorry you had to let your place go. From your descritpion, it sounds very nice and you obviously put a lot of work into it. I am sure it must have been very hard decision.

Hopefully your son and the occupants in the other vehichle are OK.

The hardest things to do are the ones forced upon you. Anything I sell that has sweat equity involved, blood, sacrafice, loss of sleep, is emotional. Now your free to dream about the next project that will be emotional. Your freinds are good freinds not just there for the good times. - Sorry to hear your story.

Fortunartly no one was injured in the accident. It was the first I asked. Not a big deal. just the icing on the cake.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure that was rough.
