See Virgina, there really is a Santa Clause. I think my decision is made up. Thanks Delta Prop Man. I wonder if the discount would apply to a puller to go with it.

Speaking of pullers, is there any advantage to the acme or OJ pullers? OJ is about $20 cheaper.

Hollywood, your assement is correct and certainly no offense is taken. The boat is used primarily to pull my son wakeboarding and for just plain fun driving by both of us. I went from a 8' 110hp jet ski to this boat, certainly comparing an 8' to a 19' is a stretch but the thrill factor is not that far apart. The improved performance would not be lost because I do not ski, because I still get to drive. Regardless If brakes do not come along for christmas I will be looking to add them next summer especially if my employment situation improves. I can probably more easily negotiate safty with the CFO at that point than more fun. I am hoping we also improved the tow vehicle situation this week. I found out that since a brake job about a year ago the drivers front calliper was hung up and only braking with the inside pad. It wore down to metal on metal in that time and the rotor was nearly worn to the venting! yikes! May explain why it felt a little more iffy last summer.

Keep in mind you can educate yourself and do the brakes yourself.

I saw a post a while ago with a video on how to redo the brake systems on your trailer (that is if they are installed on your trailer).

The trailer never had brakes but I would definitly take on the project myself. I can't end up any worse.

OverMyHead- I am not sure how much access to a welder you have and what your skill level would be. But I modified a C-clamp to work as a prop puller. I will take a picture when I get home. It took me about 30 minutes to make and cost me nothing. Just an idea as a way to save a few bucks.

big goose egg on welding skills and access, I have a nice 8 inch c-clamp and an angle grinder, I could remove material but not add.

Had a dilema, a local distributer offed me a acme 540 and acme puller for $400. slightly lower than what delta would have been, but the local would have charged sales tax. Decided to screw the government and support the site sponsor. Prop and puller are ordered. Merry Christmas to me. Should be fun, just stay behind me on the road.

540 arrived safely at the front door today, disapointed it did not come down the chimney. I am using every ounce of self control to not open the box till christmas.
...dave.... open....me... Did you hear that?
